I didn't have a circle.

Inner Circle is a network built one conversation at a time. I get to know interesting people well, and when two of them should know each other, I connect them.

The right person at the right moment can change your direction. Most people never meet them.

Start a conversation

No pitch. Nothing to sell. Just a conversation to see what we might discover.

Why

For most of my life, I figured things out alone.

Books, libraries, the internet, and now AI. It worked, but it took far longer than it had to. What I was missing wasn't information. It was the right people at the right moment: someone who'd been there, someone who saw what I couldn't, someone who could open a door.

You can push yourself. But you'll push further with a spotter.

They don't lift the weight for you. It's still your weight. Most of the time, the person you need already exists. You just haven't met them yet.

How it works

Inner Circle isn't networking. It's discovering who should know whom, and why.

An illustration, not real people

  1. It starts

    A conversation

One-to-one, with me. No agenda beyond getting to know you. I share as much as I ask.

  2. Then

    Understanding

Who you are, what you're building, what you're trying to figure out, what could help you, and what you could bring to someone else.

  3. Over time

    Intersections

Someone needs exactly what another person knows. Two people are wrestling with the same problem from different worlds. Someone has the connection that changes another's direction.

  4. When there's a reason

    A connection

I introduce you. Not before. Nothing happens just to keep people busy, and sometimes the right answer is to wait.

  5. What follows

    Possibility

What happens next is yours. A partnership, an answer, a friendship. Sometimes a few people end up around the same table.

What it isn't:

Who it's for

Different backgrounds. One thing in common: something in motion.

Status doesn't decide who belongs here. Someone who built a large company may be working out their next chapter. Someone who's 24 may know exactly what that person needs. What matters is how you move.

You don't need the biggest company or the best title, and you don't need everything figured out. You just need to bring something to the table.

This isn't for everyone. It might be for you.

My part

Real, ready, and invested.

For now, I'm the thread between people. I'm putting my time into this just as much as you are, and I'll show up as myself. Here's what I bring to that first conversation.

The road

Experience from off the board

No money, no degree, no connections, and I still became a business owner and industry leader. I built iAnimate's Games program from scratch and grew into an owner of the school: hired, trained, fell, rebuilt. I know the shortcuts I didn't have.

The eye

A creator's voice and eye

My career has been seeing what others miss in a shot, a team or a plan. I'll see it in yours, and tell you straight.

The thread

Attention, and the patterns it reveals

I listen closely and remember what matters. Over time, patterns emerge: what one person needs, what another knows, and where two paths should cross. That's what makes the right introduction possible.

I'm starting small and personal.

The first five or six people aren't a cohort. They're the first people I'll build this with, so I can learn what actually creates value. I'm not selling a membership or pretending I already know what Inner Circle should become. I'm building it by doing it.

5–6PeopleSmall enough for me to know each person well.
1:1Where it startsA real conversation with me.
~3MonthsConnections when they make sense.
$0CostYour time and openness.

There might be a dinner along the way. There might not. The dinner isn't the point. The relationships and what comes out of them are.

What I ask of you

  1. Be openTell me what you're really working on, not the polished version.
  2. When there's a reason, say yesIf I see a connection worth making, give it a real conversation, or tell me why it doesn't make sense.
  3. Tell me what happenedGood, bad or nothing at all. That's how I learn what works.
At the end, two questions. Did something meaningful happen because of Inner Circle? And do we want to keep doing this?

Maybe you're one of the five or six.

Through October, I'm having conversations to discover who belongs in the first experiment. I'm not trying to fill seats. I'm trying to find the right first people to test this with.

You don't need to know exactly what you're looking for. Sometimes the most valuable conversations are the ones you didn't know you needed.

If something here resonates, start a conversation.

What could matter to you right now? Pick any.

About three minutes. I read every answer myself and reach out about a first conversation.
